Frugal and Free

Miserly May---- how quickly the time flies, at least we have had the sun for a few days, lets hope it continues over the bank holiday weekend.
The frugal purse had a top up today of £50 and off we went to Lidl, we were lucky today as we found a spot in the car park, I don't know if its the same  where you shop but nowadays our Aldi and Lidl are just so busy its pot luck if you can park the car!!

Having done my menu plan for the month it was easy to write the shopping list, the cupboards are full to bursting so its just the basics shop today with the addition of a pot of double cream for Sunday Lunch when the family come.
I might make a fruit salad and a crumble for dessert to go with the cream. I bought plenty of fresh veggies and salad plus a sweet potato and butternut squash to make some soup for lunches. The total cost of our shop today was £31.95.
This little lot were freebies :-)

As we have been at my Mum and Dads the last 2 days painting the shed, gate and repairing the greenhouse they wanted to give us a bit of a reward for our hard work, so yesterday after we left, the tea man came and they treated us to this little lot, the biscuits are my hubby's favourites so I'm going to have to ration them lol I love these kind of rewards although I would do it for nothing and with pleasure, I love my Mum and Dad loads :-)

Its cleaning day tommorow for us and hopefully the sun will be shining again so I can do a few jobs in the garden in the afternoon.

I hope you all have a lovely but Frugal May Bank Holiday weekend and thank you all for reading my chunterings.

Love
